California High School Basketball - Sweetwater nips Southwest EC

December 21, 2024: National City, CA 91950

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sweetwater Red Devils (National City, CA) and the visiting Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA), observed Sweetwater's basketball team edge Southwest EC by a score of 50-45.

The Red Devils (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Granite Hills was tipped by Patrick Henry (San Diego, CA), 58-45, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Hilltop Lancers (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 26. Southwest EC will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 52-40 non-league loss to The Cambridge School (San Diego, CA).
