The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sacred Heart Academy Irish (Mt. Pleasant, MI) and the host Beal City Aggies (Mt. Pleasant, MI), observed Sacred Heart Academy's basketball team overcome Beal City by a score of 46-35.

The Irish (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Montabella (Blanchard, MI). The Mustangs come into the Mid-State challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Montabella defeated Coleman (Coleman, MI), 45-19, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Aggies battle the Roscommon Bucks (Roscommon, MI) in a Highland challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. Beal City will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Bucks come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 47-34 non-league win over Beaverton (Beaverton, MI).
