Next, the Lions clash with the Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets (Estherville, IA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 4. Central Lyon will attempt to improve on its 7-1 season record. The Midgets come into the test with a 8-2 record after their 52-33 league win over Storm Lake (Storm Lake, IA).

The Patriots (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Murray County Central (Slayton, MN). The Rebels come into the A Section 3 test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Murray County Central bounced Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda (Okabena, MN), 48-42, in a league test.
