With the victory, Hopewell advances its record to 2-8 on the year. The Titans travel to West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Lions in a 3A/4A Queen City match on Friday, January 3. The Lions enter the match with a record of 6-2. West Charlotte won 71-39 in their recent non-league match against Hoke County (Raeford, NC)

The Wildcats now own a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Piedmont Community Charter for a 1A Metro 8 match on Friday, January 3. Sugar Creek Charter will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 40-39 non-league win over Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 6-3.
