The Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Lake of the Woods Bears to 21 in the Huskies non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Huskies now have a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Verndale for a A Section 5 game on Friday, January 3. Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] will confront a Pirates team coming off a 73-25 league loss to Pine River-Backus (Pine River, MN). The Pirates record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Lake of the Woods falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Kelliher/Northome (Northome, MN) to confront the Mustangs in a A Section 8 game on Monday, January 6. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 2-2. Kelliher/Northome lost 96-66 in their recent non-league game against Mountain Iron-Buhl (Mountain Iron, MN)
