The West Essex Knights basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Montville Mustangs to 45 in the Knights non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Knights now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Newark Academy for a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. West Essex will confront a Minutemen team coming off a 67-24 league loss to Immaculate Conception (Montclair, NJ). The Minutemen record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Montville falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Dumont (Dumont, NJ) to confront the Huskies in a non-league game on Monday, December 23. The Huskies go into the game with a record of 1-1. Dumont won 63-43 in their recent non-league game against Indian Hills (Oakland, NJ)
