Sage Hill Lightning (Newport Beach, CA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Varsity Opponent (, ), 62-18 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Sage Hill advances its record to 8-6 on the year. The Lightning host Woodbridge (Irvine, CA) to face the Warriors in a Pacific Coast match on Tuesday, January 7. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 3-10.

The now own a 95-244 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hill School for a non-league match on Sunday, December 22. Varsity Opponent will face a Rams squad coming off a 40-34 non-league win over Varsity Opponent (, ). The Rams record now stands at 3-10.
