Texas High School Basketball - Union City holds off St. Augustine

The Union City Bears basketball team scored 28 points and limited the host St. Augustine Knights to 25 in the Bears non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bears now possess a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Titusville for a District 10 Region 5 game on Thursday, January 2. Union City will confront a Rockets team coming off a 32-19 non-league loss to Clymer Central (Clymer, NY). The Rockets record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, St. Augustine falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Knights host St. Joseph Academy (Brownsville, TX) to confront the Bloodhounds in a TAPPS 5A District 3 game on Saturday, January 4. The Bloodhounds go into the game with a record of 8-4.
