The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hartsville Red Foxes (Hartsville, SC) and the host Marion Swamp Foxes (Marion, SC), observed Hartsville's basketball team edge Marion by a score of 43-41.

The Red Foxes (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake City (Lake City, SC). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Lake City Mullins (Mullins, SC), 15-15, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Swamp Foxes battle the Cane Bay Cobras (Summerville, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. Marion will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Cobras come into the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 56-33 non-league win over Woodland (Dorchester, SC).
