The Atkinson County Rebels basketball team (Pearson, GA), was nudged 48-45 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Cook Hornets (Adel, GA)

The Hornets now possess a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Colquitt County for a non-league battle on Monday, December 27. Cook will confront a Packers team coming off a 55-52 non-league win over Wayne County (Jesup, GA). The Packers record now stands at 1-8.

The Rebels (0-11) will now prepare for their battle against Brooks County (Quitman, GA). The Trojans come into the A Public Region 2 battle with a 2-5 record.
