Wellsboro Hornets (Wellsboro, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cowanesque Valley Indians (Westfield, PA), 68-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Wellsboro upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Hornets host South Williamsport (South Williamsport, PA) to play the Mountaineers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 29. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a record of 1-3.

Next up, the Indians play the Wyalusing Valley Rams (Wyalusing, PA) in a Northern Tier bout, on Tuesday, January 4. Cowanesque Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
