Augusta Christian Lions (Martinez, GA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting San Gabriel Academy Eagles (San Gabriel, CA), 66-63 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Augusta Christian upgrades its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 5-6. Charlotte Christian lost 84-67 in their recent non-league bout against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Rabun Gap, GA)

Next up, the Eagles play the St. Monica Mariners (Santa Monica, CA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 26. San Gabriel Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Mariners come into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 76-73 non-league win over Campbell Hall (North Hollywood, CA).
