The Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC) basketball nipped the host Page Pirates (Greensboro, NC), 60-59 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Villains (6-2) will now prepare for their test against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Black Hawks go into the non-league test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, North Buncombe was tipped by T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC), 65-64, in a league test.
The Pirates now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Northwest Guilford for a 4A Conference 55 test on Wednesday, January 4. Page will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 57-50 non-league loss to Reagan (Pfafftown, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 4-5.
