Jefferson Davis County Jaguars (Bassfield, MS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, MS), 69-65 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jefferson Davis County upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Jaguars travel to East Marion (Columbia, MS) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 23. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 4-1.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies (Brooklyn, MS) in a 4A Region 7 bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Columbia will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Aggies go into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 48-46 non-league win over Picayune (Picayune, MS).
