Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the East Lyme Vikings (East Lyme, CT) and the visiting Woodstock Academy Centaurs (Woodstock, CT), saw East Lyme's basketball squad hold off Woodstock Academy by a tally of 56-55.

With the victory, East Lyme improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Griswold (Griswold, CT) to play the Wolverines in a Eastern Connecticut I challenge on Tuesday, December 27. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 4-0. Griswold won 62-51 in their recent league challenge against Windham (Willimantic, CT)

Next up, the Centaurs play the Killingly Redmen (Killingly, CT) in a Eastern Connecticut II challenge, on Wednesday, December 28. Woodstock Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Redmen come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 54-36 non-league win over Wheeler (North Stonington, CT).
