Kentucky High School Basketball - James River Midlothian nips Floyd Central

December 21, 2022: Eastern, KY 41622

James River Midlothian Rapids (Midlothian, VA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Floyd Central Jaguars (Eastern, KY), 61-59 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, James River Midlothian upgrades its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Rapids host L.C. Bird (Chesterfield, VA) to play the Skyhawks in a Dominion bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Skyhawks come into the bout with a record of 5-2.

Next up, the Jaguars play the James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. Floyd Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 61-49 non-league win over Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA).
