Grosse Ile Red Devils (Grosse Ile, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Cabrini Monarchs (Allen Park, MI), 46-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Grosse Ile upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Trenton (Trenton, MI) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 5-4. Trenton won 56-37 in their recent league bout against Woodhaven (Brownstown, MI)

Next up, the Monarchs play the Richard Pioneers (Riverview, MI) in a Catholic C-D D bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Cabrini will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
