The Fort Lauderdale Flying L's basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Northeast Hurricanes to 34 in the Flying L's non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Flying L's now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Piper for a non-league contest on Monday, January 9. Fort Lauderdale will meet a Bengals team coming off a 75-23 non-league loss to Coral Springs (Coral Springs, FL). The Bengals record now stands at 3-10.

The Hurricanes (11-2) will now prepare for their contest against North Miami (North Miami, FL). The Pioneers enter the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, North Miami was defeated by Ferguson (Miami, FL), 59-50, in a non-league contest.
