Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Westover Wolverines (Fayetteville, NC) and the visiting Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC), saw Westover's basketball squad knock off Gray's Creek by a tally of 43-33.

With the victory, Westover improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Triton (Erwin, NC) to battle the Hawks in a 3A/4A Conference 23 battle on Tuesday, January 3. The Hawks come into the battle with a record of 6-4.

The Bears (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC). The Eagles come into the 3A/4A Conference 22 battle with a 1-8 record.
