Holy Cross Crusaders (Waterbury, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Oxford Wolverines (Oxford, CT), 81-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Holy Cross upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Wolverines play the Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley - Copper bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Oxford will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 54-52 non-league win over Watertown (Watertown, CT).
