New York High School Basketball - Nichols holds off Amherst Central

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Nichols Vikings (Buffalo, NY) and the host Amherst Central Tigers (Amherst, NY), saw Nichols's basketball squad hold off Amherst Central by a tally of 81-80.

With the victory, Nichols improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Canisius (Buffalo, NY) to confront the Crusaders in a Monsignor Martin challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 5-2.

Next up, the Tigers confront the Williamsville North Spartans (Williamsville, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. Amherst Central will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 63-51 non-league win over Cardinal O'Hara (Tonawanda, NY).
