Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Neshannock nudges Armstrong

Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Armstrong River Hawks (Kittanning, PA), 44-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Neshannock upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Lancers travel to Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA) to play the Tigers in a WPIAL 3A 1 challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 2-3.

Next up, the River Hawks play the Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights (Wheeling, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 27. Armstrong will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Maroon Knights come into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 80-65 non-league win over East Liverpool (East Liverpool, OH).
