Betsy Layne Bobcats (Betsy Layne, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Chattanooga, TN), 42-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Betsy Layne upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Hazard (Hazard, KY) to clash with the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 12-1. Hazard lost 66-41 in their recent non-league bout against Caldwell Academy (Greensboro, NC)

Next up, the Fighting Irish clash with the Baylor Red Raiders (Chattanooga, TN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Notre Dame will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record.
