Tallmadge Blue Devils (Tallmadge, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Boardman Spartans (Youngstown, OH), 61-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Tallmadge upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host Louisville (Louisville, OH) to play the Leopards in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Leopards come into the bout with a record of 6-1. Louisville won 53-46 in their recent non-league bout against McDowell (Erie, PA)

Next up, the Spartans play the John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles (Warren, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Boardman will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 75-60 league win over Aquinas (Louisville, OH).
