Louisiana High School Basketball - Bourgeois can't hold off Jesuit

The Jesuit Blue Jays basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Bourgeois Braves to 59 in the Blue Jays non-league triumph on Friday.
The Blue Jays now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edna Karr for a 5A District 9 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Jesuit will battle a Cougars team coming off a 51-49 non-league loss to St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA). The Cougars record now stands at 8-6.
The Braves (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA). The Trojans enter the 5A District 7 contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Central Lafourche nudged Walker (Walker, LA), 63-56, in a non-league contest.
