The Pikeville Panthers (Pikeville, KY) basketball crushed the visiting Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY), 79-55 in Friday's non-league test.
The Panthers (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, CA). The Sailors go into the non-league test with a 13-2 record. In their last test, Newport Harbor walloped Elsinore (Wildomar, CA), 85-46, in a non-league test.
The Lions now own a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Western for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 27. Boyd County will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 63-53 non-league loss to Central (Louisville, KY). The Warriors record now stands at 1-7.
