Clio Mustangs (Clio, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lapeer Lightning (Lapeer, MI), 51-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Clio upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Mustangs host Lake Fenton (Linden, MI) to play the Blue Devils in a Flint Metro bout on Monday, January 8. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 3-3.

Next up, the Lightning play the Mt. Pleasant Oilers (Mt. Pleasant, MI) in a Saginaw Valley bout, on Friday, January 5. Lapeer will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.
