California High School Basketball - Etna topped by Hoopa Valley

The Hoopa Valley Warriors basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the host Etna Lions to 55 in the Warriors non-league victory on Friday.

The Warriors now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ferndale for a Humboldt-Del Norte - Little 4 contest on Thursday, January 4. Hoopa Valley will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 72-26 non-league loss to Fortuna (Fortuna, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-6.

The Lions (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Phoenix (Phoenix, OR). The Pirates come into the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Phoenix prevailed over Santiam Christian (Corvallis, OR), 59-41, in a non-league contest.
