Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC), 71-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Garinger upgrades its record to 1-10 on the season. The Wildcats host Statesville (Statesville, NC) to clash with the Greyhounds in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 1-5.

Next up, the Mariners clash with the Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Jackson Day will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record.
