Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy Tigers (Lafayette, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Morgan City Tigers (Morgan City, LA), 71-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Tigers host Episcopal of Acadiana (Cade, LA) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 11-4.

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Central Lafourche Trojans (Raceland, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Morgan City will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 50-32 non-league loss to University Lab (Baton Rouge, LA).
