Lincoln Lions (Lincoln, RI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Norwich Free Academy Wildcats (Norwich, CT), 70-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lincoln upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Cumberland (Cumberland, RI) to play the Clippers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Clippers come into the bout with a record of 3-1. Cumberland won 62-52 in their recent league bout against Westerly (Westerly, RI)

Next up, the Wildcats play the East Hartford Hornets (East Hartford, CT) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Norwich Free Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 86-53 non-league win over Edwin O. Smith (Storrs, CT).
