The Spencer County Bears basketball team (Taylorsville, KY), dropped 83-70 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Newport Wildcats (Newport, KY)

The Wildcats now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trinity for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 23. Newport will battle a Shamrocks team coming off a 63-58 non-league win over DeSales (Louisville, KY). The Shamrocks record now stands at 7-2.

The Bears (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Henry County (New Castle, KY). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 8-3 record.
