The Stone Mountain Pirates basketball team (Stone Mountain, GA), was defeated 60-48 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA)

The Warriors now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Madison County for a AAAA Region 8 contest on Wednesday, January 3.

The Pirates (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Westminster (Atlanta, GA). The Wildcats enter the AAAA Region 6 contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Westminster was defeated by Effingham County (Springfield, GA), 49-42, in a non-league contest.
