The El Capitan Vaqueros basketball team (Lakeside, CA), was nudged 37-30 in Friday's league battle with the host Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA)
The Highlanders now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Olympian for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 23. Helix will battle a Eagles team coming off a 50-20 non-league win over Canyon Hills (San Diego, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 9-2.
The Vaqueros (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Valhalla (El Cajon, CA). The Norsemen come into the battle with a 0-2 record.
