Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC) and the host Luella Lions (Luella, GA), saw Chambers's basketball squad knock off Luella by a tally of 37-26.

With the victory, Chambers improves its record to 3-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host Hopewell (Huntersville, NC) to play the Titans in a 3A/4A Queen City challenge on Friday, January 5. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 1-10.

Next up, the Lions play the Lovett Lions (Atlanta, GA) in a AAAA Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Luella will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 0-12 record after their 51-48 non-league loss to Tucker (Tucker, GA).
