Minnesota High School Basketball - Mesabi East knocked off by Hermantown

The Hermantown Hawks basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Mesabi East Giants to 44 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Friday.
The Hawks now sport a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Duluth East for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5.
The Giants (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Cloquet (Cloquet, MN). The Lumberjacks enter the non-league contest with a 8-0 record. In their last contest, Cloquet ran past St. Francis (St. Francis, MN), 74-57, in a non-league contest.
