New Canaan Rams (New Canaan, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Trumbull Eagles (Trumbull, CT), 45-34 in a league bout.

With the win, New Canaan upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Rams travel to Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT) to play the Tigers in a Fairfield County bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-0.

Next up, the Eagles play the Notre Dame Catholic Lancers (Fairfield, CT) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Trumbull will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 49-46 league loss to Immaculate (Danbury, CT).
