James Kenan Tigers (Warsaw, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting J.H. Rose Rampants (Greenville, NC), 45-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, James Kenan upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to East Duplin (Beulaville, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 3-0. East Duplin won 29-9 in their recent non-league bout against North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC)

Next up, the Rampants play the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. J.H. Rose will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 27-26 non-league win over Martin County (Williamston, NC).
