Non JV Opponent (, ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Kelso Hilanders (Kelso, WA), 41-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Non JV Opponent upgrades its record to 53-69 on the campaign. The host Mingo Central (Matewan, WV) to play the Miners in a bout on Friday, December 22. The Miners come into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Hilanders play the Mark Morris Monarchs (Longview, WA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Kelso will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
