Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC) and the host Martin County Knights (Williamston, NC), saw Southeast Halifax's basketball squad hold off Martin County by a count of 66-63.

With the victory, Southeast Halifax upgrades its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 5. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 0-7. North Edgecombe lost 46-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Nash Central (Rocky Mount, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 23. Martin County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record.
