Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lakeside Lancers (Lake Elsinore, CA) and the host Monrovia Wildcats (Monrovia, CA), saw Lakeside's basketball squad hold off Monrovia by a count of 74-70.

With the victory, Lakeside upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Fountain Valley (Fountain Valley, CA) to play the Barons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 27. The Barons come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Fountain Valley lost 58-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Damien (La Verne, CA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Chaffey Tigers (Ontario, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 2. Monrovia will attempt to upgrade on its 12-3 season record.
