In Friday's non-league outing, the Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC) basketball squad nipped the visiting Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC), by a margin of 47-45.
The Spartans (2-7) will now prepare for their outing against Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC). The Jaguars go into the 4A Conference 28 outing with a 7-4 record.
The Vikings now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to North Edgecombe for a 1A Conference 9 outing on Tuesday, January 3.
