Canton Golden Bears (Canton, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Queensbury Spartans (Queensbury, NY), 45-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Canton upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Golden Bears host Gouverneur (Gouverneur, NY) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-3.

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Averill Park Warriors (Averill Park, NY) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Queensbury will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 56-35 league loss to Shenendehowa (Clifton Park, NY).
