The Fairmont Golden Tornadoes basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the host Pinecrest Patriots to 39 in the Golden Tornadoes non-league victory on Saturday.

The Golden Tornadoes now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine Forest for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. Fairmont will battle a Trojans team coming off a 38-37 non-league win over Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 5-3.

The Patriots (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Southern Lee (Sanford, NC). The Cavaliers come into the 3A/4A Sandhills contest with a 10-1 record. In their last contest, Southern Lee prevailed over Triton (Erwin, NC), 53-52, in a non-league contest.
