Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Kennedy Cougars (New Orleans, LA), 61-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ponchatoula upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Green Wave travel to De La Salle (New Orleans, LA) to play the Cavalier in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Cavalier go into the bout with a record of 5-10. De La Salle won 79-56 in their recent non-league bout against St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Kennedy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record.
