Calexico Bulldogs (Calexico, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Shadow Hills Knights (Indio, CA), 59-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Calexico upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Vincent Memorial (Calexico, CA) to play the Scots in a bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Scots come into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Knights play the Xavier Prep Saints (Palm Desert, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Shadow Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record.
