Rancho Cotate Cougars (Rohnert Park, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Sonoma Valley Dragons (Sonoma, CA), 50-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rancho Cotate upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Novato (Novato, CA) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Novato won 64-8 in their recent non-league bout against Pinole Valley (Pinole, CA)

Next up, the Dragons play the Vintage Crushers (Napa, CA) in a bout, on Monday, January 8. Sonoma Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
