Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME), 60-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Lake Region upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Lakers travel to Fryeburg (Fryeburg, ME) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Fryeburg lost 59-43 in their recent non-league bout against York (York, ME)

Next up, the Hornets play the Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) in a B South bout, on Thursday, December 28. Leavitt will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record.
