In Saturday's non-league outing, the Martin County Knights (Williamston, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC), by a margin of 48-26.
The Knights (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Gates County (Gatesville, NC). The Red Barons go into the outing with a 4-3 record. In their last outing, Gates County smashed Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC), 60-44, in a non-league outing.
The Vikings now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Rocky Mount Prep for a non-league outing on Friday, January 5. Northwest Halifax will clash with a Jaguars squad coming off a 71-55 non-league win over North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-3.
