The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Marionville Comets (Marionville, MO) and the visiting Niangua Cardinals (Niangua, MO), observed Marionville's basketball team overwhelm Niangua by a score of 67-33.

The Comets (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Purdy (Purdy, MO). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Purdy trounced Wheaton (Wheaton, MO), 85-44, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals encounter the Everton Tigers (Everton, MO) in a Mark Twain challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Niangua will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record.
